General terms and conditions of sale
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale apply to all services provided by the "Hôtel de la Plage – Asnelles" hotel. They apply to all reservations made directly or indirectly via the internet or telephone for individual customers (excluding group reservations). They form an integral part of the contract. The offers and general terms and conditions presented are valid on the date of consultation. All reservations will be honored on the date of the stay according to the specified general terms and conditions, as these are subject to change. Therefore, any reservation implies the customer's full and unreserved acceptance of these terms and conditions.
These rooms, apartments and services are offered subject to availability.
Reservations
Regardless of the booking method (internet, telephone, website, or mail): the reservation is confirmed only after registration of the credit card type, the customer's credit card number, the card's expiry date (valid on the date of the customer's stay), and the name on the card. The card must allow for pre-authorization.
We accept VISA and Mastercard; your credit card serves as a guarantee for your reservation. No online charges will be processed except in the cases mentioned below. The full amount of your stay must be paid directly to the hotel.
The credit card will be charged immediately in the following cases:
- The credit card expiry date expires before your arrival date at the hotel.
- Arrival date at the hotel located more than 89 days from the booking date.
- If the booking is a prepaid, non-modifiable, and non-cancellable offer, the amount charged as a deposit will be the full cost of the stay.
The Hôtel de la Plage – Asnelles – reserves the right to pre-authorize your booking to guarantee your stay. In all other cases, you will pay for your stay directly at the hotel.
For reservations made through websites, the hotel's website, or by telephone, you will receive a confirmation email containing your reservation number. A unique reference number will be provided for each reservation, which you will need if necessary to cancel or modify it.

Specific conditions for the 80th Anniversary of the Normandy Landings: i.e., any booking made between 01/06/2024 and 10/06/2024
– The reservation will only be considered final upon receipt of your deposit payment representing 50% of the total amount of your stay; it must be made between January 1st and January 30th, 2024 at the latest.
– The balance of the deposit for your reservation must be paid between 1st and , 2024 at the latest, and corresponds to the remaining balance of the total amount of your stay.
– Any deposit payment not made within the required time frame, despite reminders from us, will lead to the cancellation of your reservation.
– We would like to draw your attention to the fact that the deposit paid is by nature non-refundable.
Cancellation policy
Specific General Conditions Season 2023 from May 15 to October 31, 2023.
Price of the day
– Cancellable and modifiable free of charge up to 2 days . Beyond that, the hotel will charge for the stay.
Good deal: bookable 3 days in advance to 360 days in advance
– Modifiable free of charge up to the amount committed for up to 12 months with the implementation of a “Voucher”.
Early Booking: bookable from 30 days in advance
– Non-cancellable, non-refundable, non-modifiable.
Any cancellation must be confirmed in writing (fax, email, mail, etc.) or cancelled directly on the partner websites or the reservation was made by the buyer in order to make the room(s) available for rent again.
- For bookings made more than 30 days in advance: no fee is charged unless the booking was made more than 89 days in advance. In that case, 100% of the stay will be charged to the credit card.
- Between 5 and 30 days, 50% of the total stay will be charged to the credit card.
- If the buyer does not show up at reception less than 5 days in advance, the entire stay will be charged.
Cancellations due to force majeure will only result in a postponement of the reservation valid for 3 months.
If, upon the guest's arrival, no rooms or apartments are available at the hotel, or in the event of force majeure, the hotel reserves the right to provide accommodation elsewhere under the best possible conditions, namely in a nearby hotel of equivalent category offering similar services. In this case, the costs associated with the transfer will be borne by the hotel. Guests will not be entitled to any compensation of any kind whatsoever.
The hotel may be released from its obligations or suspend their execution if it is unable to fulfill them due to the occurrence of an event beyond its control or beyond its control, as well as in the event of force majeure, and in particular in the event of total or partial destruction of the hotel, strike, disaster, fire, technical accident, internal or external and in general in the event of any event which does not allow the proper execution of the service.
Price
Unless otherwise stated, prices shown are inclusive of VAT, per room or apartment, per night, for a specific number of people per room or apartment and for the chosen date. They are valid for the period shown and are subject to change once a year.
Tourist taxes are not included in the displayed price as they are beyond the hotel's control. Any change in the VAT rate or the cost of the tourist tax will be reflected in the sales price. If a change in the VAT rate or tourist tax occurs after a sale and concerns the purchased period, a balance or credit note will be shown on the invoice upon the customer's departure and will be payable by the buyer or deducted from their bill. The price does not include extras (drinks, breakfast, etc., which will be payable on site) or services purchased through the Hôtel de la Plage – Asnelles –.
The Hôtel de la Plage – Asnelles – defines force majeure as: Any event external to the parties which is both unforeseeable and insurmountable which prevents either the client, the travellers, the agency or the service providers involved in the execution of the trip, from carrying out all or part of the obligations provided for by the contract.
This will notably be the case in the event of strikes by transportation workers, hotel staff, insurrection, riots, and any prohibition enacted by governmental or public authorities. It is expressly agreed that force majeure suspends the performance of the parties' reciprocal obligations. Furthermore, each party shall bear all costs incurred as a result of the force majeure event; consequently, travelers shall be solely responsible for any additional expenses incurred to allow the continuation of the journey following the occurrence of a force majeure event. In accordance with French Law No. 78-17 on Data Processing, Data Files and Individual Liberties, customers are hereby informed that their order is subject to computerized processing of personal data. The right of access and rectification guaranteed by law can be exercised by contacting Hôtel de la Plage – Asnelles – 1 rue Devonshire Régiment 14960 ASNELLES – France.
For the following room categories the kitchenette is now optional: Double room, duplex room and family room.
The Hôtel de la Plage – Asnelles, in the online sales process, is only bound by an obligation of means. It cannot be held liable for any damage resulting from the use of the internet, such as data loss, intrusion, viruses, service interruptions, or other unintentional problems. All elements of the Hôtel de la Plage – Asnelles website are and remain the exclusive intellectual property of the hotel. No one is authorized to reproduce, exploit, redistribute, or use in any way whatsoever, even partially, any elements of the website, whether software, visual, or audio.
Any simple or hypertext link is strictly prohibited without the express written consent of Hôtel de la Plage – Asnelles.
Dispute resolution
These online sales terms and conditions are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, jurisdiction is granted to the competent courts, notwithstanding multiple defendants or third-party claims.
Hotel rules and regulations
The hotel reception is open from 7:30 am to 10:00 pm, and rooms and apartments must be booked within these hours. They are available from 3:30 pm and must be vacated by 11:30 am on the day of departure. After 12:00 pm, the hotel reserves the right to charge for an additional night. The hotel offers free luggage storage upon arrival and departure. Pets are welcome at the hotel for an additional fee and subject to prior approval by the hotel. Failure to comply with this policy may result in the hotel refusing the guest or charging an additional fee for the pet.
Hotel guests must:
- Respect the peace and quiet in the rooms and apartments and the silence in the common areas for the serenity of the guests.
- Wear appropriate clothing.
- To behave in a manner described as "family man".
The hotel parking lot is available for guests.
Breakfast is served from 7:30 am to 10:30 am.
The hotel cannot be held responsible for theft, loss or damage to guests' luggage stored in the hotel's common areas, in an unlocked room or apartment, or in a car in the parking lot.
Any complaint must be made in writing no later than when the client receives the keys and a copy with the hotel's stamp will be given to the buyer.
The client is responsible for the safekeeping of their belongings and equipment. The client must inform the establishment of any damage they cause. They are liable for all damage caused by them and agree to bear the costs of repair in the event of damage to the premises provided (room, apartment, common areas such as lounge, restrooms).
The client agrees not to invite any person whose behavior is likely to be detrimental to the establishment, which reserves the right to intervene if necessary. The client may not bring in any outside beverages or food without prior authorization from management. The client agrees to ensure that participants and their guests comply with all the establishment's rules and regulations (including the no-smoking policy). The client will ensure that participants do not disrupt the operation of the establishment or compromise the safety of the establishment or the people present.
Smoking is strictly prohibited in the establishment, including common areas, bedrooms, apartments, toilets, reception, breakfast room, office, etc
